Last week at IRCAD North America, we were proud to host two advanced robotic surgery programs focused on complex hepatopancreatobiliary care: Pancreatobiliary Robotic Surgery and the Liver Robotic Surgery Courses.

These immersive programs brought together an exceptional group of faculty and trainees from five continents for a week of hands-on training, expert instruction, and meaningful collaboration. The global participation underscored IRCAD North America’s role as an international hub for advanced surgical education and innovation.

Led by course directors John Martinie, MD, FACS, and Nicolas Demartines, MD, both courses emphasized advanced minimally invasive techniques, thoughtful clinical decision-making, and peer-to-peer exchange. Through expert-led sessions and practical experience, participants strengthened their skills in managing complex hepatopancreatobiliary cases using robotic approaches.

We are grateful to our course directors, faculty, participants, and the entire IRCAD North America team for an outstanding week dedicated to advancing the future of robotic surgery through world-class education and global collaboration.
