Sen. Ted Budd (R-NC) Visits The Pearl: On May 26, Sen. Budd joined Gene Woods (CEO, Advocate Health), Steve Smoot (President, NC/GA Market), Collin Lane (EVP, Professional Support Services), Hillary Crittendon (VP, Innovation Districts Operations), and Garth Regan (AVP, Federal Affairs) for a tour of The Pearl. During the visit, Gene, Steve, and the team highlighted how investments in innovation, academic medicine, and community partnerships are strengthening access to high-quality care across Charlotte and our enterprise. Additional topics of discussion focused on the new care tower at Carolinas Medical Center, our investments in rural communities across our enterprise, the Wake Forest University School of Medicine, and investments in technology to improve overall health.
