This week Dr. Steven Hong joined us at IRCAD NA to demonstrate remote robotic surgery, connecting Charlotte to San Diego. Using the newest technology, his team successfully conducted over 100 procedures over four days.
Dr. Hong serves as the principal investigator for studies at the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC), researching how to ensure safe and effective robotic telesurgery in challenging operative settings.
